@^$&*#! I just got a call from my computer guy and after replacing the motherboard and starting it up, they have determined the hard drive is bad. OMG! Crap! Crap! Crap!.

I wish we lived closer, my bf is a computer guy and has a ton of parts and computers laying around the house. We could fix you up with one! or at least until you wanted to buy a new one.

Not generally cost effective to fix computers...sometimes even if you're doing it yourself.

Actually, Greeny, you come to my mind a lot. I drive around Ohio thinking I'd like to do some gardening in our new house and I bet Greeny would know what to plant, cause I don't have a clue. Your skills are being missed!
