Lets Get This Party Started

Come on in.
Actually, I am not feeling overtly party-ish since my tulle skirt is at the cleaners but we can chat and share any ideas you have for the incoming year, the outgoing year, any intentions otherwise known as resolutions and just plain old idle gossip. What say ye?!
Oh, by the bye- I have fresh spicy cranberry salsa poured over cream cheese with my fav Wheat Thins and Misson tortillas plus I have made a vat of Mimosas big enuff to swim in. Help yourselves and find a comfy place to light.
On the changer, some Black Eyed Peas, Counting Crows, BareNaked Ladies, All-American Rejects, Billy Idol, Green Day, Mary J. Blige, Marvin Gaye, Al Green pre-religion. Bring your stuff along.

Cupid Slide anyone?

I actually don't know the steps, but the daughter likes the song.

Happy dance: I'm here first!

At first glance, I thought you were serving Black Eyed Peas. Yum, with some butter and a dash of salt....

I'm double dippin' the salsa, it's tasty!

A Party! Yay! I'm readin' old blogs, sipping Jack & Ginger, just finished making French Toast for everyone for dinner (no idea how that got to be a tradition, but it became one!). Tomorrow, I'm making black eyed pea and ham soup. Mmmmmmmm! Thanks for being such a lovely hostess. Your salsa is to die for and so are those Mimosas!

Welcome, DarklyFey! Help yourself and so glad you stopped in.
French toast is absolutely perfect for a tradition. Did you happen to bring any? Wouldn't hurt to have a bit of sweet stuff on the table.
So how are things with you?

We had corn pudding and BBQ pork. Now, I am listening to the Lemonheads while the teenagers are playing Rockband.

Happy New Year, Greeny.

Yummy sounding, Mathman.
I have spent half my time circulating and half with E watching The Fifth Element. Her plans fell through for the evening unfortunately for her.
Happy New Year to you and yours, Mathman.

Sorry I couldn't make it.
The older son had a melt-down last night and I was up late sitting on him.

Happy New Year.

OOo, kimmy it WAS good! Lots of recipes out there for it. Cranberries, either fresh with plenty of sugar swirled in the food processor or in whole berry sauce (my choice) with a couple jalapenos and green onions minced, splash of fresh lemon juice (or lime), cilantro -I had to use frozen parsley since my cilantro didn't fare so well in the freezer and let 'er sit awhile before splooshing over a brick of cream cheese. Some recipes called for fresh ginger but my store didn't have any and I wasn't traveling 30 miles for it.

Gnome, it's okay. I had a melt down in my chair with a bottle of Liante Salice Salentino. Sorry you didn't have it easy at least last night. Hope the boy is more peaceful today..My daughter tried unsuccessfully to raise interest in a party, remained univited to any function and could raise no one to do anything with. I felt really bad for her but we watched "The Fifth Element" and noshed. However I felt really good for her making a 30 on the ACT.

Sorry I'm late. I was at AMs with Markec and Anne, nibbling on yummy sugared pecans and other goodies. Do you have any left over mimosas? I'll just help you clean up and listen while you tell me about the party.
