Yum, yum. Waiting for the stuff to come off. Already got a couple of the yellow tomatoes. All the squashes are about ready, the peppers have been coming off a few at a time. I am about ready to start some hot pepper jelly, Otis!
The stir-fry mix grows like a bat out of Hades so I have trouble keeping it cut and used.

I have a lot of sweet basil and need to get it chopped and prepped to freeze for pesto.

My beets are looking great. The leaves are good in a salad too. I hope I have enough to pickle.
My poor zucchini has some powdery mildew. I am working on controling that.

Wiley is taking it real easy.
And as usual, my pics aren't next the appropriate wordage.
No biggie.
Hope everyone is having a great weekend.

Great lookin' garden! I'm so jealous. I do have time to get some fall peas in, so there is a little hope. My tomatoes are coming along, fingers crossed!

The closest thing to gardening I'm doing this year is growing sweet basil in pots in my windowsill. They are thriving quite nicely though... I may work up the courage to go bigger next year. I am envious of your gardening skills.

Hi and thanks, Anne (blushing)!
Yes, tomatoes are a must-have and my mouth waters thinking about all the salads, salsa, and bruschetta coming up.
Thanks, Sandi. Glad you stopped in. You're welcome and still sending those good vibes your way.
Chin up.
I have seen your lovely garden. No need to worry, Lorraine. And I'll throw some of that pepper jelly over some cream cheese and serve it up to you all with tortilla chips if you bring the (insert preferred drink) when you come over!
Butterfly, hi! And go for it on the garden thing.
Sweet basil is my absolute favorite herb although making fresh salsa with cilantro is a must now, I have found. I just forget to cut it enough and it goes to seed. Thanks for the envy! Heehee.

Wow, I'm impressed! No wonder you picked "Greeny" as your nickname.

I wish you lived closer. I'd be happy to help with your gardening excesses. I always look forward to those summer farm stands.

What a yummy looking garden! My garden has some pretty flowers, but no edibles. Roadside stands have to supply my fresh produce.

AM, thanks for stopping by and if I lived closer, I would sure share the excess. Looks like squash is going to be the veg of the season. How do you feel about it?

Hi, Mom and flowers are equally important in my garden. I just don't have room for them in with the veggies. I remember vaguely my Great Aunt's garden that had cutting flowers in with her vegetable and the chickens had the run of the place. And my dad's sister was a similar gardener.

Kate, fruit trees absolutely count. Do you have room for a garden at this house? Thanks for stopping by!

That's good looking soil you have there...and plants as well.

Send jelly!

Hi, Otis. And thanks for the soil compliment. Actually, when I looked at the pics, I thought the soil didn't look as good as it really is. It has a lot more clay than I am used to but overall, it grows stuff really well.
Jelly is in the works but you probably have the ultimate source for better stuff than mine.

Nice spread! Sounds like you've got your work cut out for you with all the produce. Our tomato plants are over eight feet tall now, and the yellow pear is crazy loaded with little tomatoes! It's so gratifying to watch the garden grow when you know that your own toil and sweat went into it. :)
