Visitors Welcome
Kate over at http://someoneelseshoroscope.blogspot.com/ wondered if anyone worried about visitors who stay for a long time on your blog. According to my site meter (hooked on seeing where people are visiting from) I have a visitor from Washington, D. C. whose domain name is "census.gov". Makes me a bit nervous although I could hardly be targeted as a political upstart.
And the vistors who have "unknown country" listed under the domain name. Wow!
Also, there is a visitor from Olive Branch, Mississippi who spends a lot of time here. I love the attention like I told Kate but I wonder who it might be and what they are thinking. Maybe it's someone I have known in the past. Is that silly of me? I don't care really if it is or not.
I finally got around to linking to my favorite blogs although I would like to point out I get to a LOT more, just not on a daily basis. I am really hooked on reading blogs. Just check your site meter.
Sunny here and breezy. A loverly day to spend outside. Fingers crossed it will go that way.
Cheers!

On the subject of goverment hits.. I had several of them not long after I made a post ranting about the governments control on what we can and cant eat (i.e. raw dairy products) It was interesting indeed! ;)
I do the same thing! wondering who it is..lol. I think sometimes I should just not look at the site meter. :)
That kitten in your last post is so cute!
I had a gobernment hit from the IRS a few months ago.
Talk about feeling the cold fingers of death!
so youuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu are the lurker on my site! lol
I havent had many new readers of late but I did find 2 blogs recently that actually had me linked and I didnt even know it. It was kinda cool!
Have a good day! I wonder if that reader will fess up??? Thats a bit of pressure now! lol
Hi, Lea. Guess they have their sensors set to read anything that has "government" in it, huh? Thanks for stopping in.
Sandi, using the site meter is half the fun of a blog!
Imnot, what on earth were they doing lurking on YOUR site. Lord knows you havent any dessenting attitudes, right?
Kate, I can't keep my mouth shut even when i know I should so I can't be a lurker.
And I hope I didn't scare them off. I am just really interested.
Happy day all.
ya me too... I have this need to talk (and even comment!) I also usually get the last word in too! Its ugly! lol
Hey...I've got Olive Branch Missisipi too!
Of all the branches of gobernment, the IRS is the one I oppose the most. They fund the rest of the government and that makes them evil...plus, I hate sending them my money! ;-)
I happen to know who the government lurker is. CNN called me a cyber sleuth once, I can figure stuff out.
My blog is listed on a German woman's list of favorite blogs, by the way. creepy and cool at the same time.
The census is visiting me now too! Obviously doing ground work for the IRS!.
I think I know who the census.gov person is now.
Ummmm I got a visit from a person today via census.gov it came via your page!!!!!!!!!!!! lol no kidding! what do you think is up with that???
lmao If you are out there Cencus.gov come clean!!!
ANNNNNEEEEee! Whew! Im sorta glad and sorta sad to know now who it is.
Oh, well, I still have the Mississippian.
Thanks for the link, doll. I keep waiting for the damn government to come spy on me. They've been to see lots of my friends, you'd think they'd have bothered by now. I feel so left out.
Although, as to the time thing, I don't think about it. Especially since I have been known to hit someone's blog, take a phone call, get sidetracked by the laundry and a UPS delivery, go pick up the kid from school and then come home to find that I'm still sitting on their site.
Hey! what makes you think it's me? I just said I could figure stuff out. Like I can look on my comments and see you made a comment on my blog at 9:33 this morning and then I look at the stat counter and see a visit from 72-161-2-90.dyn.centurytel.net (Centurytel Internet Holdings Inc) [Label IP Address]
Louisiana, Monroe, United States starting at 9:29 originating from CG's blog. Hmm, could this be you? It's not your physical location, but maybe that's where your ISP is located? Same for the day before.
Anyway, I have a cushy job here in Maryland and I'm good at figuring stuff out. Pass the sudoku, please.
HHmmm, that is weird, Anne. So I shouldn't assume it's you that has a census.gov domain name? I don't really HAVE to know. I was just curious.
But wait...you said you have a cushy job...
Welcome, Lorraine! It's the least I could do for all the entertainment you provide me!
so, is reading your blog a bad thing?
Depends on if you're looking for real entertainment, enlightenment or just drivel. Help yourself to whatever you find.
And welcome.
I'll go back to lurking now, but before I go, let me make it clear, we at Census do not EVER give any information about ANYONE to ANY other agency, IRS, INS, CIA, FBI, etc.
lol I have site meter AND statcounter....and I only look at them when I want to see if someone imparticular has been to my blog. lol Sounds like I should be checking it more often??? LOL You all are having fun with seeing who has been to your blogs....I'm missing out, eh?? lol
I wouldn't mind if someone extended me an Olive Branch.
I haven't been visited by the census or by the mystery Mississippian. Did I spell that right?
There was a time when I read my stat counter daily. I quit around the holidays b/c I slacked on posting a bit and the numbers were depressing. Now that I'm back to writing more, I might dig in again. It really is fun to see all of the countries listed. I have a few from Russia, Belgium, Germany & Japan. Hard to imagine how that happened. Perhaps they are military.
Thanks for the link, by the way!
Is it just me? I can only get Mom's and Amkingsfield's links to work. The rest direct me to a Netscape home page.
The new phone book is here...
The new phone book is here...
Thank you for including me in your list of favorites...AND...
I greatly appreciate your word of encouragement.
I think your government hits come for your link to me...they're watching me you know...wink,wink, nod, nod.
Otis, I couldn't think of adding a blogroll without you as a addition!
And Census, why did you disappear? We are intrigued! Please allow us more!
